The puppet museum at Abizanda has a fantastic collection of hand puppets and full bodied string puppets from all over the world.
In selecting their exhibits, the Titiriteros of Binefar have put popular culture before the highbrow and the rough before the smooth.
Their puppets come from India, China, Tunisia, Check Republic, Belgium, México, Colombia, Great Britain, the U.S., Italy and Spain.
In the right hands each string produces a different expression, as the puppeteers express feelings from their imagination and pass them on to the audience, momentarily giving the artist control of the puppet’s destiny.
