Aínsa has one of the most interesting ethnographic collections of Arts and Crafts objects in the Pyrenees.
Spread over four floors of this 16th century building in Ainsa’s old town you can experience; a blacksmith’s foundry with its anvil and forge, the growth cycle of timber in a saw mill and carpentry workshop, a magnificent weaving loom with hemp and woollen textiles, traditional pottery, tin making and basket weaving.
This is a “not to miss” museum of bygone professions and traditional utensils used in the everyday lives of mountain dwellers.
