The Sobrarbe region is situated in the heart of the Aragonese Pyrenees in the province of Huesca.

Sobrarbe occupies 2.200 square kilometres of the central Pyrenees and pre-Pyrenean sierras as well as the River Ara basin and the headwaters and tributaries of the River Cinca.

8ooo people currently live in Sobrarbe, most of them working in the primary and secondary sectors (services).

The Sobrarbe’s northern region is furrowed by the valleys of the Rivers Ara, Cinca and Cinqueta. The central area is made up of several plain areas such as Broto, Fiscal, Arcusa and La Fueva. The pre-Pyrenean ranges of Guara y Olsón lie to the south.
