The Monastery of San Victorián

The San Victorián Monastery sits on the slopes of the Peña Montañesa and is one of Sobrarbe’s most treasured historic jewels. The oldest records date the site from the 11th century, though others place it as early as the Visigoth era in the 6th century.

For centuries, this monastery was the economic, political and religious centre of Sobrarbe, whilst continually under Papal and Royal protection.
