The Bear Cave Museum – Tella

The highest archaeological site for Cave Bears in Europe is at 1600 mts in the village of Tella at the entrance to the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park.  At the visitor’s centre you can find out how this species, now extinct for over 9000 years, lived and survived and how the 30000 year old excavation site has unfolded.

The museum is housed in Tella’s old mill house and for the complete experience you can book a fascinating guided tour around the actual Bear cave.
